How to think like a great graphic designer

This week I read How to think like a great graphic designer by Debbie Millman for the third time. Have you?

Well, you should, because Debbie Millman offers a glimpse into the minds of some of the most influential graphic designers out there. These designers put forward intriguing thoughts and observations and here are my top 2 favourites:

“No one’s prepared to engage with difficult ideas anymore. It is very rare that graphic design is a difficult, engaging space these days.”

– Neville Brody

Finally, I encourage you to read How to think like a great graphic designer and to have a look at the design work around you. Also, have a look at your own work and then think about this: are we doing our best or are we sometimes lacking the substance that makes us great at our jobs, not just good at it?  I for one think we could do better. And I will give my best shot at it.
